Night Vision Hoddesdon
CCTV

Most crime happens after dark. We specify colour night-vision cameras where there is ambient light, and proper IR where there is not — then we prove it on a night clip, not a daytime screenshot.

Night Vision CCTV in Hoddesdon

Night Vision CCTV in Hoddesdon is a regular DARKGRID job — Hertfordshire properties with the same mix of Town-centre homes around the High Street, new-build estates, and industrial and trade units on Essex Road and at Rye House — plus the villages along this stretch of the Lea.

We design, supply, install and support night vision cctv for homes and sites across Hoddesdon and the surrounding Hertfordshire towns. The survey is free; the proposal is fixed-price; the install is documented and handed over with remote access already working.

Drives, yards, rear alleys and rural lanes where existing cameras turn into grey smudges after dusk.

What we install

  • Night-time survey or a dusk follow-up on the same site
  • Colour night vision on lit approaches
  • IR cameras and, where needed, extra lighting
  • Lens choice for the actual throw distance
  • Recorder settings that do not crush night detail
  • Handover clips from day and night so you can compare

How a Hoddesdon job runs

An engineer visits the Hoddesdon property, marks camera or device positions, and notes power, cable routes and any listed-building or landlord constraints. You get a written proposal within 48 hours. Certified engineers then install, label and test every device — typically in one or two days for a house, longer for a commercial site — and walk you through the app before they leave.

Hoddesdon is our home patch, so Hoddesdon (EN11) is a normal travel job, not a long-distance add-on. Nationwide commercial work is still available when a group has other sites further out.

Questions

What is ColorVu / colour night vision?

A large sensor and a warm wash of white light (or enough streetlight) so the image stays in colour after dark. Faces and clothing are actually useful. It is not magic on a pitch-black field.

Do I still need IR?

On unlit sides and long yards, yes. We mix technologies on one site instead of forcing one camera type to do every job.

Will extra light annoy the neighbours?

We aim and shield fittings, use warm colour temperatures, and we would rather add a camera than floodlight someone’s bedroom. That is part of the survey.
